Tam Coc- Best Place to visit in Ninh Binh

Tam Coc 100 km south of Hanoi capital, Tam Coc – Bich Dong tourist area is an extremely famous and attractive tourist complex that tourists have been looking for. Experiencing many ups and downs of history, this place still retains a very natural beauty and strangely attractive. Tam Coc means three caverns including “Ca” cave, “Hai” cave, and “Ba” cave. All three caves are formed by the Ngo Dong river that pierces the mountain. “Ca” cave is the largest and longest cave in the cave system of Tam Coc, with the width of the cave gate is more than 20m, the length is more than 127m. “Hai” cave is a small cave with a length of only half of “Ca” cave and about 60m from “Ca” cave to 1 km downstream of Ngo Dong river. Although “Ba” cave is the smallest cave, only 50m long, it is considered the most beautiful cave compared to the other two caves. Here, you imagine like a stone arch favored by nature, skillfully honed with sophisticated details, creating a unique and wonderful beauty for “Ba” cave.

The journey to discover Tam Coc is started from the “Dinh Cac” boat landing, visitors will walk along the winding Ngo Dong river, admire the fascinating rocky mountains or can observe underwater aquatic species. Besides, the flamingo herds fluttering on the grass growing close together on the lagoon, all creating a very natural and idyllic beauty. Every summer is a great time to come to Tam Coc, visitors can temporarily forget the bustle of the city to join the quiet countryside. Visitors seem to stray into the colorful carpets with green rice fields and ripe yellow rice. Tam Coc’s rice fields are planted on both sides of the river at the foot of the rocky mountain creating a poetic and majestic scenery. Around this area are cave systems and limestone mountains and historical relics related to the Tran Dynasty.

After traveling by boat through 3 caves, you will see the floating market area in Tam Coc. Here, guests can relax and enjoy some drinks and snacks in the countryside then return to the boat and end the journey. Besides, combining Tam Coc tourism you can visit nearby tourist attractions such as Bich Dong Pagoda, “Mua” Cave.

It can be said that visitors to Tam Coc will be satisfied with the beautiful natural scenery full of poetic from the clear water or the water lilies on either side of the river, you will feel lost in the magical scenery when surrounded by high mountains, covered by rivers and water.
